Silky Special File 100mm Feather File.  This is a narrow Diamond Shaped File designed to sharpen any Silky Saw that has not had the hardening process applied to the tips of the teeth. 

One way you can tell if the saw has hardened teeth is to take a look at a brand-new saw and have a look at the tip of the teeth. Often this is not possible, so just give us a call or shoot us an email to check.  If the tip of the tooth is black, it means it has been hardened and can’t be sharpened. E.g – the Gomtaro hand saw.  Our website should mention if your saw has had this process applied to the teeth of your saw or not.
