Handmade in Ono, Japan, the Silky Nata 240 mm Outback Hatchet is an adaptable, heavy-duty hatchet axe. It features a 240 mm double-edged blade made from high-grade SKS‑51 tool steel, and coated in black oxide to resist wear, rust, and reduce glare.

The blade alone is 5.7 mm thick and weighs 590 g, incorporating a full-tang design for better leverage and handling, while the whole hatchet weighs approximately 970 g.

The non-slip handle with its rubberised design absorbs vibration for more precise control. With a total length of about 42 cm, this hatchet excels at chopping wood, clearing brush, and light prying, making it ideal for bushcraft, camping, hunting, and other outdoor tasks.

PLEASE NOTE: The rubber handle is a wearing part and may deteriorate over time with use and opening and closing. Please note at some point you may need to replace it.
