Gomtaro Pro-Sentei Pruning Saw

The Silky Gomtaro Pro-Sentei Pruning Saw blade is designed for general pruning of medium to large branches. It also has a tooth style which will cut dense and sappy timbers with ease. It has a hollow ground blade, which reduces friction when cutting. This allows the cutting stroke to feel very easy and fast.

The teeth are non-set, they are what Silky call a Mirai-Me tooth style. The tooth style creates an exceptionally smooth cut, leaving the branch with such a polished surface that it will resemble a lightly sanded finish. This benefits the tree by reducing the chance of water and bacteria sitting on groves in the timber therefore allowing infection into the wound.

This style of tooth makes a wider cut in the timber than the thickness of the blade, reducing the chance of the blade jamming in the cut. The blades are made out of high carbon steel, this is very strong steel but is also quite flexible, which is very important in a hand saw. In addition, the blades also receive a protective coating to guard against rust and resin buildup. This saw blade comes in two blade lengths, 24 and 30cm
