Product Description

EGR & CAT CLEAN+ is a new generation, low volatility, professional automotive cleaning product that effectively cleans and prevents build-up of deposits that block emission control devices such as catalytic converters and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems. Contains non-flammable ingredients that pass through to the exhaust cycle and clean these components.

Application

Designed for use in all 4, 6 and 8+ cylinder, multi cam, multi-valve including VVT, naturally aspirated, supercharged and turbocharged engines — both high performance and standard, in competition and normal on/off road use. Not suitable for use in 2 Stroke engines.

Cleans deposits from intake valves, fuel injectors and combustion chambers for easier starts, faster acceleration, better airflow and increased efficiency. Cleans and prevents harmful deposits forming in catalytic converters, cleans EGR passageways with regular use, and cleans oxygen sensors for smoother idling and running.

Suitable for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles running on Petrol/LPG, Diesel and E10. Suitable for use in Hybrid vehicles.

How to Use

USE ONLY AS DIRECTED ON VEHICLES IN SOUND MECHANICAL CONDITION

Normal Fuel Additive Use

• For routine and preventative maintenance, add EGR & CAT CLEAN+ (ECC+) directly to the fuel at a dosage rate of approximately 2–3%. Run the engine to normal operating temperature and then for a further 10 minutes to clean the internals of the fuel pump, fuel injectors or carburettor, spark plugs where fitted, and the top piston rings. Due to the low flammability of ECC+, do not add to the fuel tank with lower than 15 litres of fuel and do not add directly into the fuel filter.
• The can is a one-dose system. Empty the entire can into approximately 20–25 litres of fuel to enable it to remain concentrated as it goes through the cycle. Normally one treatment is sufficient to clean the system.

Service Maintenance – For Professional Use Only

1. For more intense cleaning of the O2 sensor, EGR valve, catalytic converter or particulate filter; connect a flexible tube with a tap (e.g. vacuum pipe) from the inlet manifold into the can of ECC+. Alternatively, pour directly into a pump spray bottle and spray into the vacuum pipe.
2. Run the engine at approx. 2000–3000 RPM and open the tap or commence spraying at short intervals to draw the product into the areas where it will work. The engine could stall — this is because ECC+ is not a fuel. If engine speed drops sharply below 700 RPM, close the tap or stop the spray and reduce the application speed or increase the interval between applications.
3. Leave the ECC+ in the system and remove the can, then reconnect the vacuum pipe.
4. Turn the engine over until it starts — this may take several minutes as ECC+ is replaced by fuel from the fuel tank. The unburned ECC+ will pass the O2 sensor and clean it, along with the EGR valve, catalytic converter and particulate filter.
5. Procedures 2–4 may be repeated to ensure sufficient product is drawn into the system to treat all components.
